This sounds crazy; but my fish are afraid of total darkness.. my tanks auto light had the moonlight off, came upstairs to a dark room.. walked over to the tank to find my Midas blenny lying on the floor :/ :/ :/ he always gets freaked out in the dark I feel so badly for him. I tried to pick him out with a net... and he went under the caves with my shrimp and watchman goby.... should I be worried? He's my favorite little guy and the guy I've torn my tank down to save. All levels should be fine because nothing has changed.. I feel so bad :/

sounds like something spooked him in the dark, not the darkness itself.
He's a big scaredy cat. But I feel so bad he's my favorite fish. His name is Blenard if anyone wants to send their wishes.

Build a cave so he can hide in it during lights out
He's lived in my tank for over a year; he has multiple caves. He was frightened by the darkness so I assume he just stayed wherever he was instead of going home.

Build a new spot?
He has plenty of spots to go. If I shut the lights out in a house do you immediately know where to go? Or do you kinda just freeze where you are? That's basically what hapepened: he's swimming around fine this morning.
