The ruby reds are a pretty difficult fish to keep. Do you know if it was eating?

More than ever. Copepod on copepod,,,, he'd never stop hunting! My green mandarin, I've had for over 3yrs now. Since he was a baby, he's fine?

I had a similar experience with a ruby and it didn't last more than a month or so like yours... I doubt the nem ate it.

Add any new fish lately besides the ruby? Might have brought in a disease or parasite of some kind. Nems in my experience usually get weak or sick fish.

Still have a pic in my phone from acclimating, big als here like to keep their fish at 1.019ppm :(

Just a thought but it looks like you have a large tank, but maybe the mandarin was aggressive toward the dragonette as they compete for the same food source.

Maybe, I seen him give a little chase with my spotted mandarin last year who also disappeared :/
But still no bodies???

A tiny fish like that would be eaten by your clean up crew in no time, the tang... not so sure it could have been dying for whatever reason and the nem got it. Fish can kick the bucket even if their not diseased, it happens...

I have to move next month, I think I'm gonna buy a 48x48x16 and start fraging my anems. Maybe I'll keep one for the clowns

And I'm thinking of getting a 300 gallon. I may need a bit more rock and equipment lol :)
