Hi Everyone,

Had a set back and lost most of my fish over a 48 hour period. At this point I'm stumped as to what went wrong. Two clown fish survived, snails, hermits and most of my corals are fine. Tested the water and seems like nothing is out of normal parameters for the tank. I've had a LFS owner come by and he thinks it's either a parasite or some type of toxic poisoning as he couldn't find a smoking gun.

So I was wondering are there any businesses or labs who will examine/ test a dead fish to determine the cause of death?

If you can find someone who is familiar with using a microscope you can do a "scraping" of the fish and put it under a microscope to determine if there is parasites present. You may need to dye the sample to make it easier to see. Methelyne blue works well.
