Occasionally my puffer or my eel with lay against the combs on my overflow box. This makes my water in my tank rise as its not draining because they’re blocking the combs. When they move it rushes into the overflow box. Is there a way to block the combs?

Usually fish that get stuck to a Overflow or pump are not doing well.
Usually acclimating or dieing. Lol.
Hopefully not in your case.
Can you turn your return pump up or down a little?
They un stick themselves and are fine and normal lol?

They unstick and do perfectly fine. I can turn my return down it's currently at 57% on a 1800GPH return.

Ever see spikes on buildings to keep the birds off.....
Just kidding....
Strange, I have never seen this behavior.
Is this all the time or sleeping?
