Fish but my $1,000 trachyphyllia

My gorgeous trachy was bitten by my tang and I had to frag a piece of it off in an attempt to save it. Now the tissue is dying more and receding. I used melafix in a tiny syringe once daily on the wound. It still won’t stop dying off! Any advice on this? Thank you all

Not sure what will help but isolating the coral to prevent further damage if you are sure it was a fish trying to eat.

in any event, I wouldn’t use melafix or anything directly applied on the coral, likely to cause more problems...

Thank you, I was dipping in melafix. It’s still receding I tried iodine solution for 3 mins tonight
