Just thought I'd share a tad bit on a situation yesterday. After leaving the doctor's office yesterday to have my 4 year old daughter's cast removed (broke both bones in her right arm), I promised to swing by the fish store (lfs). While there just looking (yes for myself, but a reward for her bravery), I came across a fish someone had brought back, either from a tank breakdown or just because they were in too deep. This fish was severely thin and started the ich battle. Without hesitation, I offered to buy this fish. It wasn't free, but I did receive a very nice discount and a verbal advisement on no warranty or guarantee. My lfs doesn't offer a warranty/guarantee anyway. I brought this malnourished fish home and began my slow hypo treatment and feeding. This fish has settled in nicely already and consumed a 1/2 cube of mysis. Time will tell, but this would be my 4th hypo treatment and what I believe is the best method for my fish.
Just thought I'd share and would love to hear on others and likewise situations on your commitment to our hobby whether it was fish, coral, or inverts. I believe all need/deserve a fighting chance.
