Hi Everyone,

I have a few questions here, but I have a 46 gallon bowfront tank. I have one clownfish. I have bought a coral beauty and a yellow watchman goby, but both the coral beauty and yellow watchman have died. I am not sure what to think. It had been roughly a month between the clownfish and adding the two others. The coral beauty died within two days, but the yellow watchman was roughly two weeks. I am going to take the step and add a protein skimmer onto the tank.I think that will help, but is there any suggestions? These were some of my parameters. I need to buy a calcium tester.

Salinity - 1024
Ph - 8.2 - What should this beat? I do see it says online 7.2-8.6 is like where it should be at for the average reef tank.
Ammonia - 0 if anything maybe in between a 0 - .2,
Water temp - 76 degrees.
Alkalinity -testing today

What are the rest of the parameters (nitrites, nitrates etc....)? How old is the tank and are there other inhabitants? Do you use RODI water? Did you quarantine any of the fish prior to placing into the display tank? We’re the fish eating prepared or frozen foods before? It could be a number of things that caused the casualties.
