I have a niger trigger and a huma huma in a 20 gallon tank is there anything compatible with these 2 chuckle heads there like best buds they even sleep on top of each other. Wanted to know if I could put anything in there with them

That tank is very very small for those types of fish. Are you planning on upgrading anytime soon?

Yes I have a 220 I'm getting set up this weekend I also have a 29 gallon bio cube that's mostly reef the 220 will be where the triggers end up

Welcome to R2R by the way :)

I've had eels and lionfish with Triggers, some puffers are OK as well. There's a pretty big selection TBH

Triggers I know are very aggressive so prob other aggressive fish. I would say stay away from lions cause I have heard that the triggers will attack the lions constantly. Lions are meant to look like urchins so other fish will stay away from them. Triggers on the other hand love urchins so all they see is a fat urchin they want to kill and eat.

Though won't the triggers eat the inverts though? I know they will eat urchins.

I was thinking like a dog face puffer would he be ok until they get my big tank done. And thank you ryancsgo

regardless of size these are all aggressive fish that can have attitudes. yes they can get along in the same tank, however, I would strongly advise waiting until the 220 is up and ready.
I had a humu and a niger with a snowflake eel in a 60G long and had a lot off issues a long time ago, I gave them away to a friend with a 225G fowler tank.
