whats the best way to keep fish and coral alive using the least amount of power as possible? We have a generator last hurricane was out of power for 10 days luckily all survived but have a much bigger power load now.

All you need running is your wavemaker or some pump that will break the surface and ensure the water doesn’t get depleted of oxygen. Point the pump to the surface. Depending on the size of the tank and if able, koralia pumps use as little as 3.5w and are great for emergencies and overall.

Temperature would be my second concern so have some frozen water bottles if possible.

Good luck! Hope it’s not too bad!

thanks for the info can never be to prepared, I see its a category 5 today

Without wanting to disagree with @EmdeReef - because we're saying the same thing (I think) - I would have the pump at the water level - pointing across the tank. Reason being some people have pumps near the bottom - pointing at the top of the tank - I think thats less efficient
