Fish death

Well, I came home tonight and walked past the fish tank and noticed something immediately... my Carptender Wrasse was missing. After further inspection I found...what was left of his body...under a rock. The crab and snails were having there way with him. Now the hard part is I have no idea what happened. He was just fine at 10pm last night when I went to bed. All of my numbers are good and i guess i may never find out what happened. But everyone else in the tank looks just fine, is active and eating. The hardest part I guess is not knowing exactly what happened

Sorry for your loss. It is frustrating when you lose a fish for no apparent reason. How long did you have the wrasse?

Over a year. Was one of my first fish when I started doing saltwater. I mean I know it's just a fish, just wish I knew what happened lol
