Long story short... Had a velvet outbreak. Lost 3 fish before it showed with all classic signs on my clowns. Clowns have been in qt for a week and coppersafe is now at therapeutic level. A tiny Springer Damsel that has showed no signs of velvet has been absolute hell to catch out of my 80g display, but I know he needs to come out. About to break the tank down to get him out.
Question is can the damsel go straight into the qt at an already therapeutic level? Unfortunately I don't have another tank to slowly raise the copper for him.

Dropping a fish into therapeutic levels of copper can be very harsh on the fish's immune system and organs. Consider using a 5 gallon food grade bucket as a temporary QT to slowly raise the copper level: heater and air stone is all you need in the bucket.

Thanks! I can do a 5g bucket
