hi, I've got a 37 gallon tank and have had a pair of clown fish together for 5 years. Recently I introduced fish to them around them and they seem to be doing fine. I'm wondering if I were to get another clown would the other two clowns fight. Also I do believe they're paired, one is noticeably larger than the other one.

They will antagonize the new clown and possibly kill it. Clownfish typically don't enter a new harem once they have swam to one as a fry which I why I believe semi matured or matured clowns are seen as out-group competition to a harem.

If you add another clown to an already established pair they will 99% kill it. Maybe if you have a tank over 400 gallons where they have a lot of room then you’d get away with it. But bonded pairs of clowns like that do not welcome new clowns in at all
