Wanted to get your eyes and experience on these fish. See if they have any issues I’m not seeing! I’m not much of a fish guy, but so far they are both eating just fine and grazing as normal.

lavender has this spot on him, don’t know if it’s just a bump mark or what.

tomini has no color and seems like a loss of skin tissue.

I think the tomini is worse off; how long have you had it? It is pale but also seems a bit thin. Is it eating good? How about any rapid breathing?

Had for about 6 days hasn’t improved and has not lost more color. Throwing nori and pellets in tank and he’s eating well. Overall breathing is fine. Heavy breathing after being startled, besides that simmers to a normal Gill movement when resting. Pictures don’t show pixels well so I’m having a hard time identifying. Tomini is the only fish in tank so I can treat with ease. He was this banged up before, slim pickings at lfs and seems like anywhere I go out of stock.

Here’s some more up close

I agree with @jassermd but was thinking it could also be HLLE. any spots or film on them?
Doesn’t seem to have spots or film. Just looks like a very unhealthy fish. That hasn’t eaten in a few weeks. Just saw it poop. Looks like a normal algae diet. I don’t know the history of the fish either. Age may have something to do with it.

The tomini looks like he has wasting disease of some sort. The lavender looks like a bacterial infection.
Interested in what @Jay Hemdal thinks.
I would be inclined to treat the tomini with GC and the lavender with Kanaplex or other broad spectrum antibiotic.

I’m going to go ahead and treat both this week. I’ll let you know my findings. Thanks for the help!

I agree, try GC on the tomini (treating both fish wouldn't hurt). Feed the tomini well, not just vegetable matter, but lots of protein to put on body mass. Since these are new fish, beware of protozoan infections that might crop up.

Will do, I’ll let you know what I find. Thanks for the advice.

Tomini is in hospital tank using nitro green and GC. Drug interaction mixed well. Yesterday he went downhill quickly, belly up. And I had a leak in my hospital tank nonetheless. Got another tank and nearly within 10 minutes of soaking in nfg and gc he was swimming around upright. Eating this morning which is outstanding!
On the other hand the lavender has been a pain to get out of my holding tank. Haven’t had the chance to do much with him yet.
