Run a search for blue spot jawfish disease - I think the acronym is BJD or BSJD. I’m on my phone and can’t find any posts for you, but this VERY similar to that issue. I hope not as it is very serious, and since the cause isn’t known, no treatment for it.Thanks, I’ll try however he’s not all that cooperative and I’m just learning to work the lights.
Yikes! It does rather look like that and now my research reveals this fish is on some “ best left in the ocean “ lists. I’ll hope for the best. A bit more research reveals these fish live in cooler waters than most tropical species, close to 70 degrees. They also don’t travel well. Shame on me for not researching further before the purchase however they’re listed as “care level easy” on saltwaterfish.com. Assuming my information is accurate it would also have been nice to have been steered away from this expensive fish by the LFS which sold it.Yikes!
