The problem is you likely added too many creatures too fast into a brand new tank. I would slow down. You should also quaratine your fish or you are highly likely to have more deaths due to disease going forward
You are probably right. Going to let it sit as is for about two weeks and just watch it. I have a 20 gallon hex tank at the house that I could set up as a qt. Might just do that

Still would be a lot for a 5 week old tank. I imagine there will be some loss from them also. Do some larger water changes and get your parameters back to stable. Then take it slow from there.

Those cerith and nerite should not cause issues. As long as they did not all die at same time. :)

Even though test indicated no ammonia this morning and all other tests looked to be in correct ranges i will still do another 5 gallon wc today and clean the filter media (one course sponge that i didn't clean last week). After that i will be taking it slow and watching for a few weeks before i bring anything else in. Thanks for the suggestions guys! It always helps calm my nerves when i get some good advice from you guys. Its easy to get caught up reading a bunch of other nightmare stories on here. Which leads to taking drastic unnecessary actions sometimes.
