Hi Guys,
Last week my Blotchy died today one of my clowns is dead. The other is breathing heavy and looks like white fuzz in him. I have a hawkfish and carpenter wrasse whi still look ok. I did not QT nor do i have a QT tank. Anyone know what i should do. Anyone want them to try and save them?
What are my next steps? Is my coral safe??

White fuzz? Got a pic? sounds like could be brook, maybe velvet....
I think you are gonna have to remove all fish, even if others look fine they could be carriers and possibly infect future additions.

Yeah man i think it velvet for sure. Now what? Take them out and put in a QT tank? And treat with copper? Never had to do this. First time. Is my coral safe

Coral is fine, will just need to pull all fish and treat. Velvet kills quickly so I'd recommend start making water and read this thread,
Humblefish Velvet treatment info

X2. Definitely act quick. This will keep happening if you don't qt your fish, unfortunately. I know it is a pain but velvet is everywhere in the hobby right now...

Ok let me see what i can do. I cant do anything tonight nor tomorrow night for sure. I have Rodi water alrrady made just watching the baby tonight and tomorrow while wife works late
Thx

I was fine for 7-8 months and picked up a blotchy few weeks ago it must have been him

It could also have been any other thing wet you added recently, like snails, corals, etc.

Waiting 2 days will more than likely result in fish deaths with velvet, just fyi. I understand family is most important.

Even if you could get them in buckets with a pump and heater and start copper would be better than nothing.

24-48 hours is a death sentence to your fish, unfortunately. You could try a freshwater dip for short term relief but you really need to get them in copper ASAP if at all possible.

Freshwater dips just ensure you match temperature and PH if you can (I use Araga milk)

Ok i will set this up tomorrow. Today is impossible.
I highly doubt the clown will make it through the night he looks bad. So sad man.

I didn't add anything new in passt few months except for this blotchy!!
I will get copper tomorrow and start treatment

You might try a dip tonight... give you a chance maybe

Unfortunately i cannot do anything tonight. I cannot do any of this with the baby. Everything is in the buildings basement and cannot take him down there to het this stuff!!
