Fish dying

From the same store that QTs their products.
QT can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. Bottom line: the only QT you can trust is your own. A LFS has hundreds of fish, corals, inverts, etc. to "QT" to little or great extent. There's no way they could do the same QT job that you could do, focusing on a fish or two in your home. The error possibility is incredibly high for the LFS. The best advice is to consider all fish, corals, inverts, plants are infected or diseased until "proven" otherwise.

Once I get the fish into QT (hopefully tomorrow), how would anyone suggest to treat my main display? I have my CUC in the tank and some corals. Any suggestions of medications to use to try and cover a number of different possible issues? Looking for some guidance. There is so much information out there it’s easy to get mixed up.

Your DT and all coral/inverts can just stay put. No treatment needed. Just allow it to be fallow (fishless) for 76 days.

Thank you everyone for your help and insight. I’m working hard to get that QT up and running. Gonna run 25 gallons of water in my 29 gallon tank. Got a filter to run a sponge in it for biological filtration. Will seed the tank with some biological filtration from my sump. No live rock or anything. Figured I would start the tank with 10 gallons of tank water and 15 from the fresh mix I’m making now.

Any suggestions on medications? Was looking at various Seachem medicines. Hoping my local lfs carries them when I go tomorrow morning.

Emergency tank up and running. Thankfully a day off for me. Waiting for it to get to temp. I have a feeling it’s going to be interesting catching the fish. Although I do have an idea.

Got an aqueon filter running from petco. They didn’t have a sponge filter so I made it work. Pulled out the filtration from the filter and got a sponge, cut to size and inserted. Dropped some of my bio balls in there to help it along. I think I’m gonna get a small plastic container, cut a bunch of holes in it and keep the balls in there. Prevent them from moving around.

I calculated out where the 20 gallon mark would be. Keeping it there and will top off daily. Gonna order an ATO and use a 5 gallon bucket to top off this thing.

Hopefully the LFS will have an air stone to oxygenate the tank with the medicines I intend to use.

Any suggestions?
