Fish Eat Worms...Right?

This seems like a Noob question so I am posting it here.

I am not an expert fisher, but I have been fishing a bunch of times in my life and I always used live worms as bait. This lead me to believe fish love eating worms enough to get caught on the hook and eaten by me. ;Happy

Flash forward to me watching my tank last night I noticed I have quite a bit of bristle worms and they all come out under the moon lighting and none of the fish seem to even care let alone try to eat them. Am I missing something here? Why are my fish not interested in eating the worms when they are not on a hook??? Lol

You see those bristles? Thats why your fish won't eat bristle worms. They HURT!

Although there are certain wrasses that will seek them out and hunt them down.

Try feeding black worms, your fish will love you.
