I may take some flack for this but I got an orangespotted filefish. I did a lot of research and he's eating well. The problem is he's really thin. He was thin when I got him (as expected) and after about a month he hasn't put on any weight and I think even lost weight.
So... He's been in my biocube for a month now. I feed live white worms, live black worms, mysis, and baby brine shrimp. He eats 3 times a day. I made a type feeder for the white worms where I drop about 10 in a pipette with holes. He then pulls the worms out. That lasts him about an hour. I also have acros in my tank that he nibbles on.
I'm getting worried that he's still so thin. His behavior is normal and his appetite is great. I'm starting to think there could be an intestinal issue/parasite. I'm just really hesitant to medicate that type of fish.
Any opinions/advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
