Fish eating zoa?

A few months ago I added a bunch of zoa frags. Within two weeks they were all eaten. I have a pair of clowns, yellow watchman, flame angel, and neon velvet damsel. I have other zoos and palys in my tank that were no touched. Only the new ones got eaten. Any possible ideas which fish? I couldve sworn I saw the velvet damsel pick at some of them.. do damsels eat zoo/palys?

Maybe the flame angel. If it was just the one frag maybe it just melted away?

Flame angel is definitely looking fishy...wait uh guilty?

I would put money on the flame angel. All dwarf angels are 50/50 on whether or not they will eat corals. Unfortunately it sounds like yours is the wrong 50.

So basically you never know when they are going to eat them? I have a huge colony of mandarin orange that doesnt get touched lol

Until fish start explaining themselves, it's hit or miss. Angels's are known to be not reef safe, but as we all know, each fish is different. You may think you have an Angel that doesnt eat coral too, then one day it gets a taste for it and it's all downhill from there. That's what makes reefkeeping so fun and interesting though right?

...as im typing this thinking, "That SOB better not eat my GMK's!" Hypothetically of course as I dont have an angel or GMK's...
