This question is not salt water fish related but it is in reference to fish breeding. Specifically Tilapia. Tilapia are live brood bearing fish and my dad wants to pull eggs before they hatch from the mothers mouth and incubate them in a chamber/ incubator system. My dad currently has a small fish farm and wants to expand. Tilapia being his main stay. He wants to breed and hatch vs. purchasing them and raising them. He has already had a few clutches but we have read the success rate doubles if they are taken from the mothers mouth and then incubated. Any help or ideas on making and incubator would help thanks guys. FYI I am a reefer I'm just trying to help my dad out.

You treat it just like African chclids you gently open the mouth in the water the eggs will fall out and then put them in a tank next to a bubbler with a sponge filter that'll work as a fry tank also hope this helps I breed fresh water fish
