Fish eggs??

I recently added 2 blue damsels to my tank and I think I may have a mating pair. Anyone know if these are eggs? Looks like male damsel is protecting area and starting to be aggressive if other fish swim near.

Congratulations! Those are eggs The father will be protecting them, but if you want to keep them, I’d get them out before they hatch! Other fish will eat them!

I just started my 55g tank about 6 months ago, so I'm still in the learning process, but it's super cool to see the tank flourish!

They do hatch but I’ve never collected them and moved to another tank to raise them. They are fish food for now.

I’m building a fish room now and plan on experimenting with raising these guys and also my clown pair if they’ll ever start spawning. They’re still young.

Cool thing about the Molly Miller pair is that I caught them myself from the beach in Galveston Tx. They were tiny when I brought them home.

Yes definitely some eggs going on there. From I’ve read it’s a whole other tank food and regimens. Not for the faint of heart. Lots of good articles online. Good luck.
