Get a vent with a sensor set it at what ever humidity you want have it vent outside done. I have a 8 inch blower vent with 8 inch duct work with a sensor for temp and humidity in a 20x20 room it gets the job done fast. room Is sealed also to not let affect other parts of house .That's why I don't understand why people have no lids on there tank so bad for house and ac it will affect house in future salt air . A skimmer can bring in oxygen to tank, I have lids also on Tanks to save house repairs in future no problem with oxygen or tanks.Even BRS guy that has that new house put a lid on his tank because he know the problems salt air and humidity can do to a house. If house needs repairs don't tell insurance you have a saltwater tank with lid off they will not cover repairs for house. A lot Less humidity with top also.

If you’re evacuating air then it must be pulling it from somewhere. Another words the room is not as tight as you think. Electric outlets and whatnot. If the house is tight you should be concerned it’s not pulling furnace exhaust air that’s supposed to go out of the house back in. Well placed co2 sensors should be on your to do list.
The humidistat sensor to control fan is a good idea
