This week we have the Copperband Butterfly

I'm choosing the longnose hawkfish. I like the way hawkfish perch on everything, but what made me choose this fish was seeing the one in the big cube tank at The Coral Reef. He was really neat and alot of personality.

Longnose Hawkfish

My brother passed away and a psychic told us when we see Hawks it's my brother. That week I stumbled upon this guy and I love how he always perches in my tank. I always think of him as my brother watching over my tank.

Not familiar with either fish but if I was at a LFS and looking at each side by side I think I would buy the Longnose Hawkfish. Don't know why.

I had a long nose hawkfish for many years and loved him. Very peaceful fish.

I can't believe that the long nose hawk is smoking the copperband butterfly. This really shocks me. The copperband is probably in my top 3 favs. I don't think any hawk is in my top 10

My vote is for the copperband butterfly. It is a gorgeous fish....and it'll take care of aiptasia! If I wasn't afraid it would starve in my tank I would have one. But I do agree that hawks have great personality.

I chose copper band too. I was always too scared it would go after my corals, now that I've seen enough to be over the fear, I certainly have no room for one. I'm still thinking about it though.

Blake's has been getting a lot, & he says they are eating mysis. Very tempted.

Longnose hawks are certainly cool, but the copperband earns its keep by eating aiptasia and that easily puts it over the top!

Oh I just wanted to say thanks for all you've done for the reefer and I am going to start using your home recipes for calc alk and mag. So thanks for saving me a ton of money!
