How much do you feed your fish?

Do you feed your fish everyday?

Can you go every other day without feeding?

Is it bad to do so?

All depends on what fish you have, for example a tang and an anthias have completely different feeding requirements. This is a very vague question without knowing what kind of fish you're feeding.

Ok here goes I have

2 percula clowns

1 firefish

1 cleaner shrimp

2 nems which I'm starting to hand feed

All in a biocube 29g

I feed everyday. Only enough that fish consume in 2-3 minutes and never let food hit bottom. With that size tank you will have to be carefull so as not to overfeed and have a nutrient problem.

That's what I was getting at. I did have a nutrient problem. Had to syphon all the crap out

It's way better to underfeed than over feed.

12g Nanoreef. Zooanthids, Ricordia, Star Polyps, Acans and two clownfish. CF Lighting, 75% actinic blue, 25% 10,000k white.

Red stuff is cyno. Same thing applies to all algae problems excess nutrients or phosphates.

In the process of fixing this. Bought a reef safe chemical that is supposed to get rid of it

I have to disagree with you, why would you starve your fish and create more aggression and frayed fins. If you feed your tank a lot you need to have a better skimmer and filtration, while also doing bigger water changes, or more frequent small water changes

I kinda trickle the food in small segments. Making sure each fish has its fair share

I like to feed my fish everyday. twice a day mysis, brine and flakes 2-3 minutes worth of food per feeding and nothing touches the bottom, I also feed nori to my tangs every day. 3x3 square.

I didn't say starve them. I just meant that they're fine if you feed them a little less and that it's much worse for the tank to have extra food floating around.

Yeah extra food lying around is definitely not good learned that the hard way
