Fish finder 210 in-wall build

I'm only offering my opinion because you haven't filled your tank yet. The way you have your legs on your stand doesn't evenly distribute the weight on the floor. If you have them sit on top of the bottom board like your middle leg then the weight will be distributed across the entire length of the floor. This is very important especially if you are not on a slab! If you have a basement the hopefully the joists below run perpendicular to the tank!

3000lb tank would only be 500lb per leg. As long as you are close to the bearing wall in the basement below your floor joists should be fine with that load. If you have a sump under the stand some of that weight will be directly on the floor too. It is a pretty awesome setup. Do you have an equipment list, livestock?
 
I hope his joist run perpendicular to the tank with a beam within 12" or so parallel with the tank in basement.... Waiting to hear his reply. If not that tank won't be level when he fills it and the floor sags 1". I built my house with a steal beam under the tank but the tank isn't centered over that beam . So about 12" of my perpendicular joists carry most the load (weight )of the tank . I hung a plumb bob in sump room directly under center of the tank and had it touch my basement floor tank empty. Then I filled the tank to check my plumbing and do s test run. That plumb bob dropped 1/2".
That's with joist ends within 12" of a steal beam!
Not trying to be a one upper, I've just done these tests and designs. It's not to late for him to make minor changes in that stand to help transfer load!
 
Hey guys, another update!!! Just for info.... it's a single story house and the stand is sitting directly on the slab. There are 3 legs in the front, 3 legs in the back. And it sits partially on the half wall studs. At 3000 lbs that's less than 500lbs.

Since my last update I installed the closet doors on that tank room and also put some waterproofing in the bottom of the stand. I used a product called Vulkem. It is rolled on and forms a thick waterproof membrane.

I got the rock in yesterday. Please feel free to give suggestions of ideas. I'm open to anything. I setup 3 separate "areas". The left is more of a pile with pass throughs and openings for fish. The middle is a big horseshoe cove. And the right is a shelf

just finished building my sump and my ATO container. will post pictures this evening after they set a couple hours
 
The sump passed the leak test. I spent the last 2 days plumbing everything up. I used 1 1/4 inch drain, with a durso. It goes down into the sump through 2 filter socks. Then to my skimmer, reef octopus SRO3000. Over fills into a 2nd compartment that will be my fuge. Then through a bubble trap to the return pump. I used tubing (to reduce vibration) up to my manifold. My manifold is gated for a carbon/GFO, and 2 spots for future use. Then to a main valve to control return into the tank. I put to returns in my overflow with loc-line. I also have a 14gal ATO container next to the sump, I used the build it yourself ATO kit. Some pictures....

Tomorrow I'll be hanging the lights, any suggestions or ideas are welcome!! Go easy on me, it's my first build
 
I am not setting up any cool controllers or monitors. Everything is bare bones and self testing. It will come in the future but not for a years or so. My thought process is, since this is my first tank manual testing and self monitoring will enable me to learn and understand the parameters better.

That's great thinking there. It will definitely help you have a better understanding for sure. One thing I do suggest is a camera to monitor the tank while you're away. It has saved me on more than one occasion.
 
Nice. That looks good. I like the trim around the tank. I also like the aquascaping. If you can find some rubble to glue into the cracks in between the larger rocks that would help it to look like a bigger rock and not just a stack of rocks. I am also fond of higher structures but that is just a preference and can be more difficult.
 
Got the lighting installed today. I picked up 4 black box LED's cheap. By cheap I mean free lol. I built a homemade hanging rack out of aluminum. From the aluminum there is a SS eye bolt going to cable that holds the light. Got all the lights hung off my home made contraption. They are 10" above the water. Ran the white channel to a timer set for 8 hrs, and the blue channel to a time set for 9 hours. Also set 2 little moon lights to run when everything shuts off. I'll get better pictures of the lights tomorrow. I'm exhausted. Water goes in on Monday!!!!! :D:D:D:D

Water day is always my most stressful day. It is a lot of water and I guess I just get paranoid. Once the water has been in for a few days I get more relaxed. I tend to be a worrier though.

Got it filled with no leaks, all pumps on and flowing! Getting some fish in quarantine tomorrow.
