Fish Food Making Workshop 3/16

We will be holding our fish food making workshop next Saturday at Elmer's Aquarium. The start time is 5:00pm. Come learn how to make a food good for everything in your reef tank. Free samples will be given out and the extra will be available for a small donation.

We will also be doing final fragswap volunteer assignments and hopefully handing out the new 3rmas T-shirts for the volunteers at this meeting.

NOT sure if we will have 5 bags left over to sell. Every one at the meeting is entitled to some and its the last meeting before the swap - so we may have a lot of people attending to get their volunteer t shirts, and assignments for the swap. I hope we do have left over to sell as I always get several bags worth. I will certainly put some aside for you if possible. Pick up at my place sometime.

No. We already purchased everything. We all make it, give out samples and ask for a donation for the rest to recoup some of the material cost.

Yes... new member ship cards for 2019 will be made at the meeting please bring your receipt (paper or phone) if you paid your $30 2019 membership fee via PayPal = [email protected]. Remember last year we pro- rated memberships to end on December 31st 2018, and we are now renewing memberships on a calendar year basis only.

Edit: We ended up making all the reef food this evening at Alex's house due to the meeting space limitations, Fragswap business that has to be done at this meeting, etc.

The list of wet ingredients are: Cod, Flounder, Squid, Mussels, Clams, Oysters, Scallops, Shrimp.

Dry ingredients included : Freeze dried copepods, Arctic Copepod powder, Freeze dried Mysis Shrimp, Freeze dried Rotifers, Spirulina powder, Nori sheets, "Golden pearl" 100-800 micron food.

The reef food turned out great, we partitioned it into zip-loc bags to freeze so will be ready to go for Saturdays meeting. Just in case I don't see you tomorrow - I am assigning you for parking lot duties as I think you live closer than many of us. You will have to meet with the main guy at the fairgrounds once before the swap to get "directions from him" . I hope that is OK - I will text you further details as I figure stuff out more in the next 24 hours.
