I've seen merchants list chopped vegetables or chopped meaty foods as alternative foods. What type of vegetables? For meaty foods I'm assuming oysters or clams; but what else?

I am not a fan of terrestrial vegetables for marine animals. Red and green nori and mixed frozen foods strained and soaked in selcon is what I feed my fish :)

Agreed. Avoid terrestrial vegetables.

Chopped meaty foods include any fresh fish, oysters, clams, scallops, squid, octopus, shrimp, prawns, crab, lobster, conch, mussels. Basically anything at the seafood counter.

This is what I feed most of the time and some times frozen but mostly this stuff.

Fish love it and the Color and health of the fish is amazing. When after a few days you can see the color become brighter and more intense. When the fish poop, you don't have chunks of poop blowing around you just see it disappear in the water. Corals seem to really like it also. All Natural and no preservatives. It is the purist Fish Food on the Market right now. Best I have ever used.
