I started a high-end mushroom nano tank(EVO 13.5) and I'm wanting to add some fish but would love to get appropriately creative. Anyone know of any unique tinies? Hoping for something other than the common neon goby/yellow clown goby suggestions. Thanks all!

I'm not sure if this fits inside or outside of your wishes, but a consideration might be one or two yasha gobies and matching pistol shrimp. Good luck with whatever you decide!

I dont have any fine substrate, I should have mentioned that, its all roughy nickel-sized rock for the shrooms to easily attach to. I love the idea though.

IMO Royal Gramma needs at least a 20.

I’d go with up to 3 very small / small fish.
I agree, and Im probably going to keep it at two. At this point Im thinking a pink-streak and a white-banded possum, as they're both small and docile.

While I like my clown I currently have in my 14G, I fear it may be too small for him in the long run. Wish I would have done soemthing like these gobies. Pretty unique I think.

If you're willing to have only 1 fish in the tank, how about a small Angler? I think it'd be pretty interesting to see it sitting/walking amongst the shrooms.

Tiny damsel or a group of shrimp

Four striped damsel. He’d be fine in a tank that size and mine is always swimming around the tank. Most people say they’re mean but mines a wimp.
