Looking for a fish to keep in a 40 breeder on my system. It will center around a 375 gallon display and feature a few racks in the back fishroom, with four 40 breeders. One will have a peacock mantis shrimp, one will have a pair of mandarins, one will have a colony of royal grammas, and the fourth is still up for debate.
I have considered some kind of toby pufferfish, a pair of orange-spot filefish, a clownfish/anemone tank, OR a small group of yellow multi-banded pipefish. Any thoughts on these species, or another interesting fish to keep?
For reference - the main display will focus on wrasses, butterflies, and angels, maybe with a few other small fish. There will be two stacked 100 gallons, one with cuttlefish and one with dwarf lionfish and a snowflake eel (plus a clownfish pair). The other three 40 breeders have been described above. The only other tank I have planned for the system is a 40 gallon frag tank with some kind of Pseudocheilinus wrasse for pest control.
Looking forward to hearing your suggestions!
