What kind of fish stocking should I look for with a C-130? I'm planning on doing a mixed reef.

Right now I have a goby (non swimming) and pistol shrimp pair. I have 2 midnight clowns going in tomorrow (I do have a big BTA for them). I was thinking about a royal gramma and a fire fish. Do I need to get 2 fire fish?

I also thought about a cardinal, then I saw a full grown and they get bigger than I thought. A thin 3" fish and a broad 3" fish are very different.

Is this too much for a 34 gallon (27 gallon display).

Sounds like a good stock list and not too many fish. The Royal Gramma and Firefish are both good choices. I would only do a single Firefish in that size of a tank, more would likely fight. You could start with a small Cardinal, they grow slowly and would be fine in that tank for a long time.

I ended up going with 2 firefish. They are bonded and in QT right now. Eating on day 2 so I am happy with that.

I read that sometimes Royal Grammas can get a bit aggressive.

After the firefish go in I am done stocking fish and start thinking about coral placement.
