First off, this is not how you sell things and the reason why most forums will shut your thread down for posting for offers. It's just asking for trouble. You post what you want and that's it. After the last fish thread mishap I figured we were over that kind of thing.
Also, I never knew you posted these fish for sale when you called me. I gave you a price and it sure sounded like you were accepting. This is not an auction, and when you call sounding like it's an emergency to get rid of fish you either accept or say no thank you. I did not even know you were going to post the fish and thought I was doing you a favor. I made half a dozen phone calls to help you sell your fish. There was no indication otherwise and told you I planned to pick it up at the meeting next week. At this point if the offer was too low you should have said that and told me exactly what you wanted.
I could care less, the fish is not even for me. I'm guessing that you called me because you wanted my help. I'm not your agent and I don't appreciate the way you went about this. Now I have to make the unpleasant call to tell someone that there's a higher bidder even though we didn't think initially the fish were even for sale to anyone else. Next time post it up and be specific about what you want.
Another FYI: Second-hand fish do not go for what you are asking. Take a trip to the LFS and see what these specimens actually cost. I have never seen a tusk that much in a store and whenever a tank is being torn down and someone has to move quickly they're lucky to get 1/3 of retail. You are expecting almost what a store in town would charge with no health guarantee and no pictures..
