I've got a five gallon nano with just one clown fish. He's fairly assertive. I want to add just one more fish. The clown fish seems to stay at the top half of the tank. Any suggestions that may be compatible and stay towards the bottom of the tank?

mine is quite peaceful picks leftover food out of the sand and will eat flakes as well. Sometimes when I feed my Nem some diced up raw shrimp he will steal a piece. Very good natured

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll put that on my list.

Not sure about a compatible fish but your tank looks really nice!:)

Thanks, it's a work in progress. It's only been set up for about 4 months. The anemone is thriving and sort of starting to hog the tank...haha

How about a Cleaner or a Fire Shrimp?

That's interesting. I never thought about a shrimp. Do you think they would hide most of the time? I'd like something that isn't hiding in the rocks all day.

If you look on live aquaria they have a section for Nano fish that might be helpful. I have a tail spot blenny that fights with my blood orange clown and it's pretty funny, no damage ever done just puts her in her place. :D

in my opinion, a 5 gal. is too small for even one clown. it's going to claim that entire tank and may harass anything else.

also in the summer without an ATO the evaporation rate will be constant with daily swings in salinity may be an issue with that nice Nem

Diamond gobies get far too large for a five gallon tank, when full grown they can reach over six inches.

Cleaner shrimp are the most outgoing and visible of the shrimp.

Neon gobies, or perhaps a small species of watchman goby, such as yasha haze dracula goby will work.
