So one of the fish I knew I was going to have in my tank was going to be a Yellow Tang, and BOY have I been surprised. This fish was shy at first, even at the store he was a bit of a loner.. thats ok.. so am I. I brought him home, he found his spot and stayed there. Then i picked up my Bristle Tooth Tang... They quickly started to buddy up to each other and share the same "cave". During that time was when I found I had the high salinity so i dropped it down. The Yellow Tang lost his color, i knew this was due to the change in water. However it quickly came back. Well last week i introduced a very small young SixLine Wrasse into my Tank. Now... I have seen dogs and cats buddy up to a puppy or kitten. But i have NEVER in my life see a fish protect a baby fish the way this Tang does with the little Wrasse. Any time that wrasse gets away from the rocks more than a couple inches the Yellow Tang is right there with it and keeps his body between the Wrasse and any other fish, except the cleaner shrimp.. for some reason, the Tang is in love with the cleaner shrimp just as much as the Wrasse and lets the Shrimp ride him...

Anyways... anyone else have some crazy fish stories?

When i first got my clown pair they spent the first week swimming up and down in between a rock cave and the tank glass. I tought they were messed up in the head but no they were just adapting and having fun lol
