That looks real similar to the ones we were seeing on clownfish for a while. I've never seen it on any other fish though. In the clownfish's cases, it was an infection of some sort. We treated with a combo of Kanaplex, Furan2 and Metroplex for 10 days. It usually cleared up before the 10 day mark but it's best to finish out the 10 days completely. If it was left untreated, they usually died within a week or so. I'm not sure that's what you're dealing with here, it's just something to think about.

Is he displaying any other symptoms at all? Behavioral or Physical?

I've only had him for a few days. He seems to be fine. Normally not a very active fish I assume. He's been eating.

I can't use that medication in the display with a fire shrimp can I? I'll have to put just him in a QT or all of the fish?

If it's what I found on those clownfish and just an infection then you can treat just him in a QT. Don't put those meds in your display for sure.
