I have yellow tang been in tank about 3 months i just bought a fox face fish and the tang keeps attaking him anything i can go or will this supside after a few days

I'm old school lol just had to take care of a carpenter flasher wrasse lol he was a full grown super male. I like a peaceful tank.

We added a foxface (bugsy) with our sailfin (ziggy) tang and she went at him pretty bad. He finally got tired of it and stopped cowering in the corner and swam around and flared up his spines half way through the day. I was afraid the sailfin would get stuck by a spine but got smart and started nipping his tail. I added big strips of seaweed on both ends and go figure they would eat from the same one. They made friends but the sailfin will still show him who is boss. Our foxface was originally in one of our other tanks and we transferred him to our larger tank.
Basically your yellow tang is showing that she is the boss and putting the foxface in order. It should subside hopefully in a few days but yellow tangs can have attitude buy times! Good luck!

I never would flush a perfectly healthy fish. Finding a new home is always the key or bring him back to where you got him.

What size tank do you have? While the aggression may go away over time there's a good chance it won't. Yellow tangs are known for being intolerant of other fish in their niche (herbivore) or their shape. You could try taking the tang out for a week or two if you have a QT or a sump. Sometimes rearranging the rockwork will help but honestly unless the tank is pretty good size the tang is likely going to regard the whole thing as "his territory".

Yup flush

As @saltyhog mentioned, tank size is pretty important. If you can catch one and place it in a social acclimation box for a few days. The fish can see their tankmates, but nobody can hurt each other. They usually get used to one another.

Foxfaces also have defensive venomous dorsal spines, so aggression usually doesn't go beyond what they can handle.

Damsels dottybacks and clowns should never be added.
Whe there are fish in each of these groups that can be terrors to tankmates, there are also plenty that are just fine. I wouldn't rule out a whole group of fish, just take it case by case and species by species.
