Good day reefers, could someone please help me ID this fish? I have a pair of them, one is a bit larger with a thin purple stripe from its nose to about midway on both sides and the other has no stripe.

Yes, I know they are damsels, but what type of damsel is the question? They have a dark blue body with long orange fins and like I said the one has a thin purple stripe down both sides from the nose to the front portion of the dorsal fin the other has no thin line.

To me they look like they are from the Neoglyphidodon species, possibly N. crossi or N. polyacanthus changing into their adult colours.

If you can get a picture under white lights they may be easier to ID.

Was it orange or yellow bodied at some point? Or is the fish new to you?
