Fish id please

Hi
I am not able to find a name of this fish. I have been told its a wrasse buts its pretty big fish, like 4-5" with a very long mouth.

It’s a bird wrasse. Males are green/blue and females are brown/tan/black. Looks like you have a female.

OMG it is not reef compatible... My tank is a reef tank. I wonder how much longer it will be a reef tank

It’s not going to eat your coral but it may eat your clean up crew or any small fish you may have. Or it may be a model citizen.

Yeah, definitely a female bird wrasse. I would only worry about small snails and possibly dartfish, they don't eat corals. Just know that if you do have darts, keep the wrasse well fed and she shouldn't try to eat them.
I've always wanted a bird wrasse actually, but I have a few pairs of darts in my tank so I don't want to take the chances.

She may be!! I hope she is! She is really pretty so hopefully her attitude will match! I also read they are jumpers, may want to add a top if you don’t have one.

I removed glass tops and installed 2 120mm computer fans in the canopy. Working like a charm.
