Ive been going to the same lfs for a year or so and they have had this same fish for 6months. They said it’s not for sale and they aren’t sure what kind of fish it is. They said they got it as a mixed species. One worker said he thinks it’s some type of Bristle tooth tang. Yes really wanna get my hands on one of these fish. The fish hasn’t grown and they think it’s the max it’s going to get.

Here’s some pics:

It’s hard to tell but the fish has stripes like a Scopas tang But doesn’t seem to have the body of one. Anyone know what fish this is or where I can get one?

Is that an adult Chevron Tang? Hard to tell from the pic

That would be my guess also. I happen to be amongst the minority that likes the adult chevron.

Update on the fish. I went back to my lfs and asked them if they have any fish that are similar for sale. They told me this fish was yellow as a Juvenal and turned black as it matured. They had one left so I bought it. They sold it to me as an assorted tang. Here’s some pics. Anyone know what this is? Doesn’t seem to be a chevron. If you zoom in hers got strips that are lighter than the yellow on his body

He’s about 1inch
