Saw these at my LFS. They seem pretty docile but I want to research them before I just throw them in the tank and find out they’re serial killers.

Hard to take pics with iPhone. And that whole store is just blue inside. Don’t think their cardinals. Don’t seem to resemble damsels. Thanks for the reply.

They sort of seem like black and gold damsels/chromis they don’t have typical damsel bodies but idk haha following~

I forgot to mention they’re red with black stripes. Very slender bodies. I’ve never seen them before. Btw, I live in Hong Kong and the names are in Chinese and I have no idea what they are.

They are neat looking, but I cannot find them. They really look like a cross between a damsel and a cardinal. Maybe even a basslet.

They look cool when young but turn into big grey monsters that will happily take a chunk out of you when you put your hand in the tank. I had one that was dumped at the shop I worked in so I put it in the coral tray. Let's just say it was the best guard dog you could want and let me know when anyone put their hand in the coral tray.

This fish will be a large mean and ugly fish when it get older. Not recommended to put in your tank. All the damsels in this Genus really change markedly with age, almost all are colorful as juveniles but ugly as adults.
