That looks like a really blurry picture of a surprisingly white Oxymonacanthus sp. (the two species being O. longirostris and O. halli) specimen. It's possible that it's aberrant, which would explain the white color, or it could just be something like a bad picture or a highly stressed specimen (though I'm not sure if these guys can hide their spots when stressed).what fish is this? some kind of file fish? cant find it on the web anywhere.

Yes, looks like oxymonocanthus longirostris (aka orange spotted filefish). Just like most fish they can appear more pale in certain situations. When there is aggression they get more blue. Females also tend to be more pale than males.@Rtaylor your playground![]()
yea it is the orange spotted file fish. i didnt think thats what it was originally because it looked white, but there is another vid of the same tank and fish on brs where it has the teal/orange coloration.That looks like a really blurry picture of a surprisingly white Oxymonacanthus sp. thanks for the reply, i just didnt think it was the orange spotted because it looked white in that vid but another vid of the same tank/fish has the exact coloration in those pics.Yes, looks like oxymonocanthus longirostris (aka orange spotted filefish). Definitely need to understand the needs of this fish as it has special feeding needs.
