Hey everyone,

To keep it brief, I'm from Canada, my tank is having a bit of an inch problem at the moment, however with being in Canada we can't get any medication as it was banned a couple years ago, thus we are screwed for parasites. In any case, I know keeping their immune systems high is pretty much all we can do.

With that being said, I've bumped their feeding to twice a day (and they STUFF themselves each feeding, like to the point where every fish has a big guy after) and with the amount they are all eating I'm not super worried, but because I'd like to do everything to keep them in top notch shape I was curious if you know of any immune system booster additives or something. I'm wondering if those are not banned in Canada.

Currently I'm feeding concoction I've made with cyclopreeze, mysis, brine, pellets, vitachem, and garlic guard.

I also put one Nori sheet in there for my tomini and lawnmower blenny.

Back to the main question, is there anything else I can add or do to boost their immune systems? Thanks!

Hmm....not necessarily true. You can do the tank transfer method, which doesn't require medication, and leave the tank fallow for 11 weeks to rid the entire system of ich*. There's a nice sticky in the top of this subforum that explains how to do it.

One of the easiest ways to boost the immune system of fish is to stay on top of water quality. That means doing water changes. Lots and lots of water changes. Your fish are eating a lot now, so the water quality's going to go down as well.

Not likely I do weekly water changes so it should be fine. I'll just up the amount each week I do if anything
