Hey everyone,

I've been thinking about adding more fish to the list of tank mates in my 29 DT, but now realizing that I would need to surrender some of the current members of my tank. I've come down to two of the 6 I currently have, an ORA Sunset Dottyback that seems to try and pick a fight with my Flame Tail Blenny, and one of my Green Chromis (it's buddy juped out of the tank while I was at school (in the works of getting a lid) and there is no one else to get bullied by my Ocellaris Clownfish which is smaller than the Chromis). If or when I do get these two out of the tank and into better hands, I was thinking about adding either an Exquisite/normal Firefish, another Ocellaris Clownfish, or a Banggai Cardinalfish but I'm unsure how the rest of my fish might treat them (especially with the Blenny with the Firefish). The names of the current fish are as follows: Ocellaris Clownfish, Green Chromis, Flame Tail Blenny, Yellow Watchman Goby, Mandarin Dragonet, and ORA Sunset Dottyback. I'm pretty sure that I might get some backlash at having so many fish in my tank, but from the 6+ months since the last added member, everyone seems to be cooperating and friendly (other than the Dottyback and Blenny during the first couple of months together). All of my current fish are fairly small, ranging from 1.5"-3" (Goby being the biggest and Clown being the smallest) and rarely fight. Bioload wise, I have an SCA-302 skimmer (which is completely oversized for my tank) to deal with keeping the waste levels in check.

At the moment I’m a bit tired so I may have to recheck what I say now in the morning haha, however for sure get a lid before the fire fish. I’d be cautious with clowns in though, a pair will often chase everything in the tank. Fire fish and blennies, they should get along just fine. I have a couple gobies (I’m building up my goby number to 5-7 total haha) and the blenny (Escenius lineatus) doesn’t care about the 3 gobies. The Bangaii cardinals should also ignore and be ignored by the other fish.
What I own in that tank now are:
- Escenius lineatus
- Gobiodon strangulatus
- Stonogobiops yasha
- Koumansetta hectori
- Paeudocheilinops ataenia
