Fish in Overflow

I have a clownfish stuck in my overflow box and can't seem to get em out. Obviously, its a very tight space and using fish nets doesn't seem to help (fish is too smart and goes all the way down to bottom). Are there any good ideas on what else I can try?

the way I catch him Is etheir to flush him Into the sump or wait til the light are out cut off the water he will stay at the top of the overflow and you can scoop him with
he net I did this twice both were earily In the morning before the light comes on but enough light I can see him at the top of the water
