Help me please!!!! In my 100.3 water box, my new fish I put in dossapear (not all, but some do). For example, my PJ cardinal was out for 2 days, and was never seen again 2 weeks ago! My $50 goby was out for 1 day and never was seen! None jumped either! My 6 clownfish (not agressive) never bother any fish,
I have 1 aiptasia filefish, 1 6 line wrasss, 3 algae blenny, 1 bicolor blenny, 1 bar goby, 6 clownfish (4 are 1” and 2 are .5” they all share anemones and cuddle up it’s cute)
Inverts: 5 rainbow anemones all on 1 rock in my corner, corals, 2 pistol shrimp (2” big), 2 cleaner shrimp, and that’s it! HELP PLEASE! The following fish have disappeared:
1 small filefish, 3 gobies, 1 PJ cardinal and more small fish!

Forgot to add water parameters:
1 year cycled tank
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 5ppm
Salinity 1.026
pH 8.1
Alk:10
Calc:400

My guess is anemone? But only a guess

When I had my 90G set up i had a similar situation. Finally found a hitchhiker - crab. He had a nice little burrow under some live rock. Got him out and that was the end of the mystery. Could be a mantis shrimp too. Do some observing during lights out.

Thank you. Going to take all my rocks out.

Before going that drastic, try to find the critter. Add a big hunk of silverside or shrimp and watch, see if any creature appears you didn’t know was there.

I did a week ago as my lfs OSA suggested that. and haven’t seen anything. I don’t know what’s doing this.

How long has the tank been running I've seen some giant bristle worms eat fish up in a hurry they get them when they're sleeping

+1 I’d try to figure out what it is before pulling all your rock as that would be pretty disruptive. I wouldn’t add any fish until I had it sorted out. Frustrating for sure but it feels great when you solve the mystery!
