Fish jumping out of tank !

Today I found my yellow watchman goby and my red mandarin behind my tank on the floor. They didn't make it. :sad: Should I put a small acrylic strip on the back of the tank so if another one tries to jump out there will be a roof to bump it's head on?

You could try egg crate.

So far so good. How would I check to see how much light it actually restricts. To the naked eye it appears to be almost none.

Honestly I think the amount is negligible. If you really wanted to you could use a PAR meter and measure the same place with the top on then off.

If, I'm not mistaken the loss of PAR is almost zero. I seen a post on a site where they measured and the reading only varied by single digits and some places not at all. I can't find it though. That was one of the major reasons this was used over egg crate. They also tried the larger mesh but depending on the fish they were still getting out.

Your fish will stay in now. I used the extra left over screen to block off overflows...no more snail blockages.
