How high can fish jump?

I am wondering if anyone knows or has a guess about how high fish can jump? I have several fish in my tank that are known to be jumpers. I am considering putting a wooden canopy on the tank to block out the light spill into the living room. The canopy will be between 8 to 10 inches higher...

Sadly I had a clown I had for years jump 6"+ over a light fixture.

Try screening in the top of the tank. Then your answer will be 0 inches, bwahahaha.
Never seen 1 jump out, but did find my tomato clown on the floor just after it happened.
So now my tank has a screened in enclosure.

Just put Red Sea diy screen tops on my 75 this weekend. To many horror stories Iv read and I’m not daring loosing my billion dollar yellow tang hahhaha

6 or more inches depending on type and size of fish. Firefish and dartfish notorious for leaping well out of tank
