Hey reefers need help. I have a 112 gallon system the tank has been up since May did the cycle. My fish keep dying at night about every 2 to 3 weeks. I’ve had 2 chromis and then a banguy cardinal and I just had a clown fish die. My water ph.8.0 ammonia is at 0ppm nitrite is at 0ppm nitrates are at 10ppm water salinity is at 1.023 2 hydra 26 and maxspect gyer wave maker. I have my snails and a brittle starfish that’s been doing good for along time but my fish keep dying

Any signs of infection or cuts/bruises on your dead fish? White spots? Anything out of the ordinary?

did you qt the incoming fish? if not then you might have had sick fish to begin with or a parasite either in incoming fish or already in the tank.
If its in incoming fish then you contaminated the main tank. if its in the tank already then some of your existing fish may have temporary immunity against it and all incoming will have problems.

I see you have another post where your longspine sea urchin is loosing spines. So it sounds like you have something out of kilt with your water or maybe equipment. Have you tested for stray voltage by chance? Water quality usually affects urhins but now I'm reading signs of fish and invertebrates. If the are in the same tank. Heater that might tend to kick on more the the evenings?

So you add a fish and 2 weeks later it dies? Then you add more and 2 weeks later they die?
Is this correct?
Do you have any fish in the tank longer than 2 weeks ?
If so what?

So I started with blue chromis and it lasted 3 weeks then I did a water change when he died I added a cardinal same thing lasted 2 to 3 weeks and died my snail and my brittle starfish are doing good had them for over a month and half

First guess is you have a disease that only effects fish. This was stated above by Dr Reef. Perhaps an internal parasite since there are not signs of ich or velvet.
Not sure about the urchin issue. Most big ones are pretty tough. I had one that came on some rock that soaked in a brute container for 1 month without heat.

How big of a water change should I do on a 112 gallon tank?
