Hi reefers,
I have a 60 cube reef and I have bought many fish that have jumped within a day of buying them, fish include gobies, wrasse, clownfish. I was wondering if there was anyway to prevent this, or any fish that won't jump. I currently have cardinals, chromis and one large and somewhat aggressive clownfish.

Another reoccurring issue that I am having is no luck with tangs. I have bought two tangs at this point a clown tang(which I found out after I bought was a really hard fish to keep) but also a kole tang that died after two weeks of getting him. Are there any tangs that are better suited for a 60 cube, maybe a yellow tang?

Thanks for the help!

All fish can jump, so a lid imo is a must. Your tank is small for the range a tang needs as they need length to run. Do you quarantine? Your fish loss could be due to disease. Any signs of them acting or looking different?

Bulk reef supply sells screen top kits, you can also get most of what tou need from a hardware store. Get mesh that is 1/4", any larger and fish can still fit through.

Tangs won't do well in a 60. Also qt'ing is the safest course for nearly all tank inhabitants.

All fish can jump, and you can't stop them from jumping - you can only prevent them from jumping out of the tank when they do.
1/4" clear mesh makes a great tank cover.
