I'm putting together a rough fish list for my upgrade if i ever get around to it. I'm (hopefully) upgrading to a 4x2x2.
It's actually more just a list of fish I want, or the closest species of what I want available to me, but I think this should work.
These are some fish I'm considering:
Valentini puffer.
Zebra moray eel.
2 or 3 fuzzy dwarf Lionfish.
Sailfin or kole tang.
Foxface.
My cleanup crew will be mainly sea urchins and snails, plus whatever feeder shrimp survive.
I'm really liking triggers lately and am considering a pineapple trigger if they're available here in Oz. Or a clown trigger, but they'll get too big eventually. Plus my CUC will get demolished.
What are people's thoughts on all this?

The lion might demo it all too

The lions will be ok with the urchins and snails, but chances are any shrimp I add will get polished off.
Any thoughts about compatibility? I think it should be a happy stock list, but would like to know any concerns people might have with my choices.
My biggest concern is the sailfin. I've never really been one for loving tangs so I havnt had a lot of experience there. Is a 120 too small for a sailfin?
I'm also considering swapping out the tang for a coral beauty.

I do think a 4' long tank is too small for a Sailfin Tang. These guys do get quite large once mature, and I don't think would do well longterm in a 4' tank. Go with a smaller Tang as you were thinking, like a Kole Tang.

for the aggressive theme tank you want to have, most of your CUC is fair game for food. :)

i would add the clown trigger last as it can be a real butt head..heck i had a friend of mine that had one, and it eat the electrical cord to the heater kill itself and everyone else in the tank.

Definite no to the Clown Trigger IMO. Them and Undualted Triggers are the two most aggressive species of Triggers, and right up there with the most aggressive fish you can find in this hobby!

Kole Tangs are too timid for a tank like that. It doubt it would last in there. You are shooting for a more aggressive tank, so only a more bossy tang would do.

I actually think Kole Tangs can hold their own. Most complain of them being too aggressive. Mine does just fine in my 125 with my Powder Brown.

I just typed up this massive reply addressing every reply in detail and my thoughts and any further questions I may have had. Then the app crashed and I lost it all, so in a frustrated nutshell I wanted to say....
I'll do the kole tang and take him back if I have any issues with him. My LFS is cool like that. I thought the 120 may have been too small for the sailfin.
I'll skip the trigger. It was more an idea of a cool fish I liked as opposed to something I had my heart set on.
I already own the puffer and he is extremely docile, so I shouldn't see any aggression from him. I'll get the lions when they're small so I'll hopefully be able to train them to eat only what I provide for them, plus they stay relatively small, so I shouldn't have an issue with them eating other fish as I won't have any "small" fish with them. The zebra eel is supposed to be one of the more fish safe eels in the hobby, but I've only owned small ones so I can't say for sure.
The foxface and tang are the most likely to give me aggression issues I think. I don't have a lot of experience with them, but I think it's either a hit or miss when it come to aggression with them.
How's this adding order. Puffer, lions, eel, foxface, tang? I'm going to get the eel small, so I was thinking of adding him before the more boisterous foxface and tang. But I guess it depends on when I find a suitable sized one.
Thanks for the advice everyone! :)

FYI - Foxfaces are not boisterous by any means. Definitely add it before any Tangs, though in reality with their warning spikes, most fish know to stay away and so they usually do not get harassed much.
